flight = epic fail..

Hey guys. ya know how I was going to make a video yesterday? I flew the drone right after the blog because it would get dark soon, and turns out, it starts drifting towards the creek. At the beginning I had the counterweight, but it was so heavy the quadcopter no longer had lift. I took it off, and it went forward and up to be right over the creek. Right then it lost control, because between me and the creek was a tree. Not tall, but really solid. The camera could see fine, but the controller lost control, and it stopped flying. It went straight down,and I freaked out.....



Right then I lost video, and I was like, SHOOOT

I don't cussss...

Anyways I run to the creek, AND THE QUAD LIGHTS ARE STILL ONNNNN!!!!!!

I think maybe the quadcopter is waterproof, and not the camera.

I take off my shoes and socks, scare the tadpoles away, and get the quad. when I take it out of the water it gets reception and starts spinning the propellers. I WAS SO RELIEVED. The camera still didn't work for a long time, and I took it all up. I got my hot glue gun, had to glue the camera back on because it fell out, tried to blow out all the mud and water, failed and had dinner. I went back and it had mostly dried. The camera worked again, but I couldn't find the channel. After a few minutes I got it back, and tried flying in my upper backyard.

Why didn't I fly there originally? I have a tendency when I'm in trouble to turn everything off, but with concrete up there, I can't really do that...



What's worse, I don't get the footage. When it hit the water the sd card got shorted out, and everything got corrupted. Later it got some footage from trying to turn it on down there, but the only actually not 0.1 second footage was me powering it up, and then  6 seconds later it ends.




What's the new plan? I'm going use the original frame. Why didn't I do this earlier? With the old frame, it was around 95mm . with the new frame it is 105mm

But the balance.....

So I'm going to use the old camera and just glue the camera on top of it.



I realize something. Maybe I should have done a basic check flight really close first before I went really high....

ordered wrong kind of filament...

Hey guys. I ordered the wrong filament fo my printer... I'm supposed to use PLA because it w won't bend when I don't put glue on my print bed,but I ordered ABS which smells worse and tends to bend it's corners off the build plate. I'm print a quick robot right now,and turns out it's ok... but wait till I get a big print...

Update on the plane glider wing quadcopter thing. The quad arrived.
! Yesterday I took it apart,desoldered the motors,and planted it int my frame with the camera. Expect a vid later today... I flew it once, but it's so front heavy that it's always going forward too fast. I put a weight in the back,so hopefully it'll be alright.

Hey guys I'm back...

Ya know that wing I was building? I kinda just found out how much the electronics would cost,wanna know how much?around 80 bucks. Yup. I had a new plan. By the way the wing was called the FT Arrow ig you wanna build it.

Will the new plan is, I'm gonna build a glider! Why? All i would need to buy its the foam to build the frame,a flight controller, I already have batteries,and I wouldn't need a motor or propeller!

The total cost would be only be around 53 bucks. I have an old Champ RTF that doesn't work, but I have the frame and the motor and propeller, so I could sell those on eBay and provably get enough money for it. Why am I building this? I have an older brother,and he spends his life on his computer. I sorta so that, BUT HE'S ON HIS SENIOR YEAR!!!

the goal of this is to get him into the hobby,and have him spend some time flying planes or something.

Hey guys, I'n bored... yeah. Today I'm gonna play trombone, get some stuff, and hope the quad arrives. I'm playing bassoon also in band this year. Bassoon is called fagott and fagotto in some places....

Anyways the title. I was looking at pageviews, and nothing is happening. It goes up big, then goes to 0, then the next three days it's in the middle.... I crei evre tim  much cri, yes.

Also, I came up with a theory. Ya know how some of you are in Germany or something? Well I thought up that some of this could be fake, and you have a software, or browse through a special browser that lets you fake being in Germany. First,I feel so bad for not posting.

Well today,I spent about an hour plus editing the gopro video.It was 30minutes,now it's 12! I still can't get music, but screw it... to be honest the video ain't all that great, it's just because my editor is so bad it took so long. If you're really curious go ahead, but if not,no point.

Also,my bro's computer,who is 17 got a virus on his computer.He has a newer computer and his is about as spore a mine now. Mine is at 50% when idle. That's how bad it usually iys after the first20 minutes.

Hey guys it's a Monday... Well here's a story about yesterday. Yesterday I blogged mobile, and I said I was going somewhere right? We went to the zoo. Don't call me a hobo or anything *gets sent over 9000 hate messages*, but we went there... very repetetive, yes. Well we go look, go to some shows, then after that go to the bathroom and water before leaving. While we're at the bathroom, my little bro finishes early, and runs. We don't know, and when we're done we start leaving. Then we don't know where he is. We look for him. We backtrack, go forward, we ask the people there who work there if they can help. They look, and I have to wait with my other little bro. My sister comes along, and I tell her to tell my mom I went searching. I go, and later, my mom comes, and says, "He ran to the car, and was doing nothing. We got him back."

Wow... I was pissed. who found him? The police peeps on bikes. Apparently, they asked for my mom's phone number, my bro put it in, and they called my mom. When I return, my little brother is sitting right where I was sitting when I was watching my other little brother, and he's angry, urgent and yells, "CAN WE LEAVE NOW!!!" What a stupid, ughhh just, no, just a horrible little, creature....

Anyways yesterday i was making a video on Taking apart the gopro fake,and i was pretty satisfied. It seemed to be going really well. I took a few pictures at the beginning with it,and also got the video decent quality,and that was that. I upload top the computer,that goes fast,then i view it.TOTALLY out of frame. I got pissed off.now I'm at church,but when I get home I'm gonna film it again.

Hey guys I'm back! yay... energetic weekend... yeah, well anyways, lets get into it. A while ago I downloaded something called Pencil2D. It's a program you use to make basic animations. When I downloaded it, it came bundled with a bunch of junk you had to take. you can say you don't want it, but it downloads anyways. So it downloaded, and something called MySafeSavings was also downloaded. It's pretty much a virus that hacks you computer and takes all your passwords and eats your computer up. And chews in the cables. And causes shortouts. Ha just kidding. It pretty much is a stupid program you can't close, even with task manager and command prompt, and can't delete either. It kinda pissed me off, and right now, I WILL FIND THE MAN WHO MADE IT AND SLAP HIM TILL HIS HAND IS PURPLE..... yeah...... But what it does is it  keeps opening up Internet Explorer with a "REPORT PHISHING WEBSITE AHEAD!! CALL US SO WE CAN INSTALL A VIRUS AND TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR COMPUTER" and"THIS GAME IS 18++,BUT WE WANT YOU TO PLAY IT ANYWAYS SO WE CAN FILL IT UP WITH ADS AND MAKE MONEY AND AT THE SAME TIME HACK YOU!!!"

Stuff like that. I can't uninstall it, and if you close it it'll open back up again on it's own within 10 seconds. It's frickin STUPID.... Hint 4 life: if you're gonna download something, always read the agreement and the separate pages to make sure they're not trying to download something onto your computer, especially if it is one of those download sites. You can usually trust the site where the software was made, AKA the company site, but don't trust pirated sources and stuff like that.

NOW FOR THE CAMERA... OK so the camera was crap, we know that but after that when I requested the refund THEY GAVE ME THE REFUND AND DIDN'T NEED ME TO SEND IT BACK!!! So I get to keep a crappy  camera and take it apart and junk the rest!!!! yeah.... keep the battery for RC stuff. BTW, I bought the quadcopter, and the extra stuff. it was only 37 bucks, for the quad,  more props (propellers) and other junk. When I get the refund it's technically only 16 bucks... yeah.... awesome... ya know what I'mm do a what's inside a crappy gopro clone video maybe...

It's a clone! Of a clone!!!

Sup peeps, I'm back...

Anyways ya know yesterday when I talked about the gopro knockoff I got? I tried it out. It's horrible. think of it like this. There's the GoPro. There's a clone of the gopro. This is a clone of the clone. The actual clone is around 100 bucks. This is a clone of the clone. The original clone I expect is probably pretty decent. Actual 1080p. What I got claims to shoot higher than that. The original clone can also shoot higher than that. But this clone uses a different lens, but the same software. Think of it like tellin' a kid they can fly. They can't, but you keep telling them. They obviously can't but you're able to convince them they can, so they jump off a cliff. Then they die. Not great. The camera can't shoot 1080. But they keep downloading the software of the original clone. This software tells the camera it can shoot 1080. But it can't. So you get a  big ugly mess. I decided to return mine. I requested a refund and I'm still waiting. how do I know dis? I'm smart.....:)

Listen. The site it was sold on is great. great deals. sometimes they don't know what they're selling. These people posted this on the site, and the site couldn't catch it. This one is a fake. but there are many others that cost a tad more but are the real deal. Some would cost 100 or so, but there are so many knockoffs that there is always one on sale around 20 bucks. If you have 50 bucks, you can get a 4k wifi enabled gopro knockoff. Even better.... if it's a fake, it's still alright, right? But those aren't knockoffs. those are the real deal... I know they are.

Hey if you're really uncertain, buy the Firefly 6S it's 130 bucks on amazon, but it's a legit fake. Wow, a "legit fake". It's exactly a gopro, it just says firefly 6S instead of gopro on the packaging and on the camera. It'll work with gopro accessories too...

It is done...

First of all, holy ^&*( I have spent more than 100 bucks in the last 2 weeks. I'm a crazy idiot... But it's all gonna be worth it. (Plus I still gotta spend a bunch more). I'm gonna wait till Christmas to get it all cheaper. Or my parents will buy it. Or pay for half of it. Or it'll be discounted...I dunno. I gotta spend another 50 bucks or so...

Lemme tell ya what I got: 50 bucks or FPV goggles, 40 bucks on an FPV camera, 20 bucks for a gopro knockoff, 20 bucks on batteries for the FPV goggles, and uh, oh that's it as of now. I'm gonna spend 27 bucks on a quad, Imma spend 22 bucks on more batteries for it and some sd cards... There's 150 bucks. I have 20 bucks of cash at home, plus a hundred dollar bill, and a bunch of cash in my bank account...

BTW I'm not gonna fly just the quad. That's STUPID. I plane (punny) to print out a frame to mount the parts onto. Then I'll fly on that where I can add my camera. Not the fake go pro. The fpv one...
